In October 2023, Oscar 'Mixwell' Cañellas reached a watershed moment in his professional career. Considered by the vast majority of fans to be one of the most charismatic professional players in the esports scene, he decided to leave the competitive arena to become a content creator.
The name hidden behind the nickname Mixwell is Óscar Cañellas Colocho, born in Girona, Spain. Since starting out, he has been the most followed player in the Spanish community, causing a stir with everything he contributes. He was Spain's top VALORANT competitor and is considered the best Spanish player in the history of CS:GO.
As a boy, Mixwell started to develop an interest in video games at the age of eight and grew up watching his older brother play while he waited for his turn. He started playing CS:GO, watching and following everything the professionals did, so he knew the game inside out and managed to get ahead of his rivals' moves.
Starting in 2014, he joined a multitude of esports teams (both national and international) and began winning various tournaments with them, some of them undefeated. In 2021, he left G2 - with whom he didn't lose a tournament in the first seven months - to join Team Heretics, one of the largest and most prestigious Spanish VALORANT teams.
After a decade of competing at the highest level, he announced his retirement from esports as a professional player to focus on his career as a content creator.
