A 6-foot-4 guard from Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, Trent Perry graduated in 2024 as a back-to-back California state champion and the California Basketball Player of the Year. He established himself as a dynamic playmaker and he has a high ceiling as his game continues to develop in Westwood, Calif. As a senior in 2023-24 at Harvard-Westlake, Perry averaged 18.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. Perry helped lead Harvard-Westlake to the 2023 and 2024 CIF State Open Division championships and the 2024 CIF Southern Section Open Division crown. Perry brings unique skill, size, length and athleticism to the UCLA team, and his mental toughness and desire to be a complete guard are evident. He shoots equally well off the catch and the dribble, and the cerebral point guard is steady and a great decision-maker, playing with a high basketball IQ and effectively reading ball-screen coverages. "I'm going to bring all that I have to impact winning," Perry said.
