Hard Enduro

Since its inception hard enduro has been dominated by European and South African riders. With the exception of veteran Cody Webb, North American riders have barely had a sniff of podiums in the sport's biggest races, but Canada's Trystan Hart is changing all that in a big way.
The native of Invermere in British Columbia, Trystan got his start on two wheels racing motocross, but a broken leg during his teenage years put paid to his track racing ambitions and saw him switch to riding the mountainous trails of the region with his dad – and find his true calling.
After turning 16 and deciding to give Endurocross a go, Trystan quickly began to make a name for himself with wins and podiums in indoor format before doing the same in the rapidly growing American hard enduro scene.
The hard enduro world at large really took note of this up and coming Canadian during the 2022 season however, when he got support to race selected rounds of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship and shook up the established order with a stunning, career-defining win at the Tennessee TKO round over eventual series champ Mani Lettenbichler, second on home soil at Red Bull Outliers, third at the iconic Red Bull Erzbergrodeo and fourth places at Red Bull Romaniacs and Hixpania.
The message to the hard enduro elite was clear, Trystan Hart is for real.
KTM certainly think so too. The Austrian powerhouse manufacturer signed him up to the factory squad to race alongside Lettenbichler in the full 2023 FIM Hard Enduro World Championshi, where he's scored podium finishes already at the Erzbergrodeo and Romaniacs to hold second place in the championship standings with plenty of racing left to run.
Could he be North America's first hard enduro world champ? Don't rule it out.
