Super subs are one of the most important, yet overlooked types of player in FIFA. Regardless of how good your starting 11 is, you should always have three go-to players on your bench who are capable of turning the tide in a game. Ideally, two of these three players should be pacey forwards with great dribbling abilities, capable of coming off the bench and making an instant impact. The third FUT item should be a strong, defensive-minded player that help your team preserve a lead.
The great thing about super subs is that you don't have to worry about their nation or league chemistry links, because all the players on your bench gain five chemistry points when they get subbed onto the pitch.
Here's a look at eight super subs for under 50k coins, all of whom can introduce a new dynamic to your team when you bring them off the bench. It's worth noting that prices may change depending on the state of the market.

Second IF Hirving Lozano

Price: 36k
Last year's iteration of the game saw Hirving 'Chucky' Lozano gain immense popularity amongst the FIFA community, as he was by far the most overpowered super sub before the TOTS promotion rolled out.
Calling Lozano the best super sub in FIFA 19 would be a bit of a stretch due to the sheer amount of untradable cards EA have released through SBCs and the like, but the PSV Eindhoven man remains one of the most overpowered cards in the game, so much so that his mere presence on the pitch towards the end of a game is enough to unsettle an opponent.
What makes Lozano so effective as a super sub is his pace and agility combo, which are rated 95 and 96 respectively, thus allowing him to outrun just about anybody on the pitch when he comes on – especially considering he'll be subbed on at a time where most players' stamina has been depleted.
Off the bench, the best chemistry style for Lozano would be Deadeye, as it'll give his card a +4 boost to his finishing, making him a more consistent goalscorer.

Second IF Angel Mena

Price: 20k
Angel Mena is a relatively unknown player who plies his trade in the Mexican first division, but you don't need to know much about him to enjoy his impressive stats on FUT.
Standing at 5’6", Mena feels incredibly agile on the ball, as he boasts 98 agility and 97 balance, allowing him to respond very quickly when you attempt to shield the ball and use the left analog stick to make sharp turns. He's also got 87 pace, which is good enough to run past defenders, before finding the back of the net with his 83 rated overall shooting stat.
The main downside to Mena's card is the fact that he's got a 3 Star skill rating, meaning he can't pull of moves such as the La Croqueta or Berba spin. Despite that, though, he's more than capable of making an impact off the bench.

Second IF Vieirinha

Price: 32k
SIF Vierinha is an incredibly versatile FUT item capable of being deployed as a full-back, midfielder, or forward. He's got a great combination of defensive and attacking stats, making him pretty overpowered.
His league and nation combo may prevent him from being a starter, considering he's from Portugal and plies his trade in the Greek Super League, making him best suited for a role as a super sub. He boasts 85 pace, 91 agility, 92 balance, 85 finishing, 85 passing, and 82 interceptions. You can bring him off the bench when you're chasing a game, or looking to preserve a lead, thanks to his versatility.

Fourth IF Nicolas Pepe

Price: 50k
It's quite rare for a player to receive more than three In Form cards in one FUT year, more so a player who was relatively unknown at the start of the season. However, Nicolas Pepe's impressive performances in real life have earned him five In Form cards this term, although with his fifth IF currently going for 75k coins, his fourth IF is the best version of his card to use as a super sub.
The Cote d'Ivoire international is insanely effective as a super sub because of his height and stat combo. He stands at 6’0", but possesses superb dribbling abilities, allowing him to be dominant in the air and on the ground.
Pepe's got 91 pace, 99 agility and 88 finishing, making him capable of scoring goals from tight angles. Along with his height, Pepe's jumping stat is rated 80, which will allow him to out-jump taller players and get on the end of crosses, while also being effective with the ball at his feet.

Second IF Djaniny

Price: 24k
Like Lozano, Djaniny was quite popular amongst the FIFA community in FIFA 18, but at the time, his card had a 3 star weak foot and a 3 star skill rating, preventing him from being used in a more competitive setting.
Thankfully, Djaniny has grown an inch taller in height (6’3) and now boasts a 4 star weak foot and skill combo, making him quite overpowered in the current META.
He’s got decent pace (87) and superb finishing abilities (89) but where he really shines is in the air.
Sub Djaniny on when you’re chasing a goal and all you need to do is find him in the box with an accurate cross and the rest is history.

Second IF Delaney

Price: 41k
SIF Delaney is by far one of the best Bundesliga midfielders on FIFA 19. He's got H/H work rates, which allow him to be involved in attacking situations while still maintaining his defensive duties. Delaney stands at 6’0" and has a 90 rated jumping stat, so there aren't many players in the game capable of beating the Danish midfielder in an aerial duel.
If you're looking to make your team more compact and preserve a lead, then you'd do well to bring SIF Delaney onto the pitch to keep your midfield on lockdown.

Second MOTM Federico Chiesa

Price: 37k
Federico Chiesa has a great League and Nation combo, so fitting him into your starting 11 shouldn't be too tough. Despite that, and the fact that he’s got great stats, though, he's under utilised on the game. Chiesa can be brought on to feature as a striker, winger, or attacking midfielder thanks to his pace, which is rated 88, and his agility, which is rated 91.
MOTM Chiesa moves swiftly on the ball because of his high agility and can capitalise on players' depleted stamina when he gets subbed onto the pitch. Chiesa can also find the back of the net from range, as a result of his 90 rated long shot stat, so don't be afraid to attempt long shots with Chiesa's MOTM – they have a great chance of going past the keeper and into the back of the net.

Halloween Mascherano

Price: 25k
Mascherano's Ultimate Scream card costs 25k coins simply because he lacks strong chemistry links, as you need Chinese Super League players or Argentine players to get him on full chemistry, and that in itself is quite a hassle. If he played in a league that was more widely used on FUT, his card would undoubtedly cost around 100k coins.
If you need to maintain a lead, though, Ultimate Scream Mascherano is the man for the job. He's got 99 pace, thus preventing him from being outpaced, L/H work rates meaning he'll always be back to cover your backline, and 99 physicality, which allows him to shrug any player off the ball.
Coming off the bench, the best chem style for Mascherano would be Guardian, as it'll give him a decent +3 boost to his defending abilities, making him more overpowered on the pitch.
