Format

The competition is dividied into four exciting phases:
  • Selection: Your gym assembles its strongest team of four — two women and two men. If you want one of those spots, this is your moment to show dedication, consistency, and raw athletic skills.
  • National qualifiers: Selected teams take on a straightforward 40-minute workout at an official Red Bull Gym Clash gym. It’s simple in format, but demanding enough to separate the contenders from the rest.
  • National finals: The top teams advance to a high-profile national showdown at a prominent gym in your country. This is where a tougher, more complex workout raises the stakes and strategy, teamwork, and composure truly matter.
  • World final: The Winners from each country earn their place on the global stage, competing in a spectacular venue against the strongest teams from 28 countries. Advanced workouts lead into the decisive  Final Clash, where one gym claims the title of Greatest Gym on Earth.
02

National qualifier workouts:

1. Power workout - 10 minutes

A 10-minute strength test where teams work to hit their heaviest 3-rep max back squat. Only one barbell is in use, so coordination and quick transitions are key.
Exercises: 3-Rep-Max Back Squat (all 4 athletes)
Score: the total weight lifted by all athletes.
Core skills: Raw strength, teamwork, and smart time management.

2. Endurance workout – 20 minutes (AMRAP)

A tough 20-minute AMRAP of rowing and synchro dumbbell work, broken up every five minutes by mandatory team down-ups - a twist that tests rhythm, teamwork, and fatigue management.
Exercises:
  • Row Calories  (1 athlete at a time)
  • 12 Synchro Single Dumbbell Snatch  (male/female Pair)
  • 6 Synchro Single Dumbbell Thruster  (male/female Pair)
  • E5MOM: 10 Synchro Down-Ups  (all 4 athletes)
Score: Row calories + total dumbbell reps.
Core Skills: Engine, synchronicity, fatigue management, and strategy.

3. Skill workout – 10 minutes (For time)

A fast, technical ladder of single skips and synchro box jump overs. Only one athlete skips at a time, two work in synchro on the jumps, and the reps drop each round as teams race the 10-minute time cap.
Exercises:
  • Single Skips (1 athlete)
  • Synchro Box Jump Overs – 20" (2 athletes)
Score: Time to complete the workout (or total reps if unfinished).
Core skills: Coordination, rhythm, agility, and clean teamwork under pressure.
In summary
Across 40 minutes of competition, teams must lift heavy, move fast, and work in perfect sync. The combination of strength, stamina, and skill ensures that only the most well-rounded and well-coordinated teams advance to the National Finals.

National final workouts

The national finals feature three workouts over 40 minutes, each separated by a 5-minute break. These workouts test pure power, deep endurance, and technical skill – and they’re designed to push even the strongest teams to their limit.

1. Power workout (10 minutes)

Teams have 10 minutes to find their heaviest barbell complex – a clean, front squat, and shoulder-to-overhead. Only one athlete lifts at a time, so timing and coordination matter.
Exercises:
  • 1 Clean
  • 1 Front Squat
  • 1 Shoulder to Overhead
Score: The combined total of each athlete’s best successful lift.
Core Skills: Explosiveness, strength, precision — and how well a team uses every second of the time cap.

2. Endurance workout (AMRAP)

A long, grinding test where all four athletes stay constantly involved.
Teams cycle through a tough sequence of synchro dumbbell movements and air bike calories—moving from clusters to reverse lunges to shoulder-to-overheads, with increasing calorie targets on the bikes between each block. When a round finishes, teams go back to the start and continue until time runs out.
Exercises:
  • 8 Synchro Dumbbell Clusters (all 4 athletes)
  • 40 / 60 / 80 Air Bike Calories (split equally across 2 bikes)
  • 16 / 32 Synchro Dumbbell Reverse Lunges (all 4 athletes)
  • 32 Synchro Dumbbell Shoulder to Overhead (all 4 athletes)
Score: Total air bike calories + total dumbbell reps.
Core Skills: Team synchro, stamina under fatigue, strategy, and efficient calorie management across two bikes.

3. Skill workout - 10 minutes (For time)

A fast, high-intensity ladder alternating between sandbag to shoulder and synchro burpee box jump overs. Only one athlete lifts the sandbag at a time; two athletes complete the synchro burpee box jump overs.
Exercises:
  • Sandbag to Shoulder – 50 kg (men) / 30 kg (women) (1 athlete working at a time)
  • Synchro Burpee Box Jump Overs – 24" (2 athletes)
Score: Finish time (or total reps if the time cap is not met).
Core Skills: Technique under pressure, clean execution, communication, and the ability to keep moving when fatigue is highest.
In summary
The National Final challenges teams across power, endurance, and skill, demanding flawless coordination and smart pacing. Only the most complete, cohesive teams will earn their place on the World Final stage.
