The 2023 Red Bull DIY contest invited four teams of skaters to build their own skatepark using 24 ice blocks and 2 sheets of plywood.

Teams from Des Moines, Kansas City, Omaha, and the Twin Cities were tasked with creating their own skatepark layout using 24 rectangular ice blocks. Each ice block was 40 inches long, 20 inches wide, and 10 inches tall and weighed 300 pounds and could be arranged with the plywood ramps in a variety of skateable setups. The teams then had 3 hours alone in the park to skate their features and film a 60 second edit.

A panel of legendary judges including Felipe Gustavo, Steezus, Garrett Hill, and Cody Davis will determine who wins this year’s event.

The public can also weigh in and vote in the People’s Choice category. Consumers can vote for one team per day, March 26th - 29th.  The team with the most votes at the end of the voting window will be crowned People’s Choice champions!
