New York, New York! The birthplace of Breaking, a melting-pot of sound, fresh moves and fly looks. This year Hip Hop turned 50 and we celebrated in a big way.

On Saturday, August 12th, Red Bull took over Jazz at Lincoln Center to host the Red Bull BC One USA East Regional Cypher! 24 of the top breakers in the country set the stage on fire showcasing their best moves in the birthplace of hip-hop in front of an esteemed panel of judges (B-boy Victor, B-girl Candy, and B-boy Jiggz). B-boy H and B-girl Mantis took the title and won a chance to battle at the USA National Finals in Philadelphia.

Co-hosted by legendary B-boy, Alien Ness and B-girl, Trinity, the crowd was treated to a high energy experience throughout the day with the music provided by DJ Fleg. To top it off, hip-hop icon and New York native, Havoc from Mobb Deep, was a surprise guest, with a special performance of some of his classic hits.
