The world's top street snowboarders will compete in Pittsburgh, Minneapolis and Boston for an epic display of talent led by style and riding icon, Zeb Powell.

The epic street snowboarding event returns to Minneapolis to see who can dominate the rails and earn a trip to face the pros in Boston!

Red Bull Heavy Metal is a single day snowboarding contest featuring the most progressive rail riding in the world. On Saturday, January 17th, Red Bull Heavy Metal will be hosting an open qualifier in Minneapolis. The event will feature top amateur street snowboarders hitting a challenging city rail for their chance to earn their way to the Red Bull Heavy Metal final in Boston. To register for the Minneapolis qualifier contest, please visit the registration link and submit your application by January 7th. Viewing for the Jan 17th event is free.

Location: 16 Wilder St, Minneapolis, MN 55401

The course is located on Nicollet Island below the Hennepin Ave Bridge. Doors will open at 12:00pm with the event kicking off at 1:00pm. Awards will be held at roughly 4:00pm.
