There's a lot riding on 24-year old Kris Bryant. The 2015 National League Rookie of the Year was an integral part of a team that was only a step away from a shot at a World Series title. It was a major accomplishment for a club on the rise, but Chicago wants more, and Bryant is prepared to deliver.
With all that expectation, fans are pretty protective of their young star. So when Bryant shared footage he captured while diving with sharks during a recent Hawaiian vacation, the Chicago faithful got a little nervous. But everyone can relax — he was safe, protected by a shark-proof cage.

As if the dive wasn't enough, Bryant jumped in a helicopter with Jamie O'Brien and took to the skies for a one-of-a-kind view of Hawaii. He also stopped by the North Shore to catch all the action at the Volcom Pipe Pro. Check out some shots from the rest of the trip below.
