After the Pivot Gang rapper John Walt was killed in 2017 at the age of 24, his friends began what has now become an annual tradition. For the third year running, Saba and the rest of Pivot Gang will put on a tribute concert that is a celebration of Walt’s life and legacy, offering up solo and group sets in honor and remembrance. 100% of the ticket sales will go to the John Walt Foundation, which was launched by Saba and Walt’s mother, and offers mentorships and scholarships to young artists in Chicago.
