Surfing at J-Bay 2019

At J-Bay, South Africa, visiting and local pros feast on several days' worth of flawless walls.

Spanish +2

A hot minute ago we were hanging with the Stab x No Contest crew in South America, soaking up the sizzle and charm of Saquarema, Brazil. Now we've crossed an ocean and hanging in the Eastern Cape of South Africa at the world's best point break, Jeffreys Bay.
J-Bay is the sixth event of the 11-stop WSL Championship Tour season, and for the world's best surfers it's also an opportunity to take advantage of the relatively quiet scene and laid-back vibes to recharge their batteries and get back to basics.
If there's swell you'll find all the world's top surfers in the water from sun up to sun down, but they'll using their down time from the wave to eat their body weight in meat at one of the local barbecues or chilling out playing cards while looking out over the ocean. The braver souls might venture to the Bloukrans Bridge, which is the scene of one of the world's highest bridge bungee jumps at 216m.
No Contest host Ashton Goggans is forced to put his fears to the side and take on the bungee jump in this episode, as well as learn how the local delicacy of biltong is made, alongside hometown hero Mikey February.
We also see get to J-Bay on its biggest day of the year, go on safari with South African surfers, Frank Solomon and Alan Van Gysen, and grill the best surfers in the world as to whether J-Bay is indeed the planet's premiere point break, and just how painful it is to get in and out of the lineup.
To say this latest instalment is jam packed would be an understatement – press play above and enjoy all the action.
