Palisades, the post-handcore band from Iselin, New Jersey, will release their second album, 'Mind Games,' on Jan. 13, via Rise Records. The album comes two years after their debut, 'Outcasts,' which pushed them into the limelight and an endless tour schedule, which they balanced with time in the studio.
“This last year has been a roller coaster ride for us. And the result of all the ups and downs is 'Mind Games,'" said Palisades guitarist Matthew Marshall.
Everything we went through is written and recorded on this album, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we created.
We're excited to premiere 'Mind Games' on (see the player below). The songs display the band's trademark balance of synths (which range from ethereal to driving), pounding guitars and drums, and Lou Miceli's vocals (which shift moment by moment, from melodic emo to full-on guttural metal). As on 'Outcasts,' 'Mind Games' also features guests on several songs, including Champs, Garret Rapp and blackbear.
"'Mind Games' embodies who we are," explains Marshall. "Everything we went through is written and recorded on this album, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we created."
