Having kept himself busy recently remixing the likes of Gorillaz, Jamiroquai, Claptone, Faithless, Two Door Cinema Club and Shapeshifters to name just a few, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Purple Disco Machine would struggle for time to work on his own original material.
Somehow though, the hugely in-demand disco-house artist has been working on his debut album, Soulmatic, which will be released later this year on Australian label, Sweat It Out.
The album's first official single, Devil In Me (feat. Joe Killington & Duane Harden) is out now and it’s proving to be a bit of a banger.
“I regard Devil In Me as one of my best-ever tracks,” says the German party starter. “I released the instrumental version, My House, back in 2012 and it became one of Beatport's all-time top-selling tunes.
“The moment I knew this version had to be released as the lead single from Soulmatic was when I heard the amazing topline Joe Killington and Duane Harden delivered, it takes the track to a whole new level.”
