Red Bull Batalla - the world’s largest Spanish-language freestyle rap competition - returns for its 2026 U.S. season, kicking off a nationwide search for the MC who will rise above the rest and earn a place on the global stage.

Now in its eighth year stateside, the competition continues to grow in both scale and intensity, drawing thousands of aspiring MCs from around the world and spotlighting the evolution of freestyle culture in the U.S.

Red Bull Batalla 2026 schedule & cities

The 2026 season travels across the country with seven regional cup events, plus a final last-chance qualifier:

Orlando, FL – July 17
New York, NY – August 1
Columbus, SC – August 14
Chicago, IL – August 29
Denver, CO – September 12
Houston, TX – September 19
San Francisco, CA – September 26
Los Angeles, CA – Last Chance Qualifier (October TBD)

Each event features bracket-style, 1v1 freestyle battles where MCs must rely on improvisation, crowd connection, and lyrical precision to advance.

MCs Competing in Red Bull Batalla U.S. 2026

This year’s lineup blends championship experience with rising talent.

Among the confirmed competitors are returning stars including reigning U.S. tri-champion REVERSE, alongside 2025 runners-up Nico B, Adonys, and Jordi.

Joining them are 4 standout MCs selected through the application phase:

Klauss MDK (DMV)
Sourius (Florida)
Dajamii Alien (Houston)
Yartzi (Puerto Rico), a two-time champion making his return after five years

The mix of established names and new challengers sets the stage for a highly competitive season.

How do MCs qualify for the Red Bull National Final?

Four MCs have already secured their places in the National Final through the application phase, while four champions have also qualified to compete.

The remaining spots will be decided at the regional cup events, where winners earn direct qualification. One final opportunity - the Los Angeles “Último Cupo” - will give remaining contenders a last chance to enter the bracket.

Road to the Red Bull Batalla International Final 2027

The stakes extend beyond the U.S.

The 2026 U.S. champion will advance to the Red Bull Batalla International Final in Peru in 2027, joining the world’s top freestyle MCs in the competition’s most prestigious event.
