Red Bull BC One Battle-X is a concept that involves secret, invitation-only, exhibition battles that go down in undisclosed locations and with a limited audience. Having already taken place in Russia and France, keep reading to find out more about this brand new event.

What is Red Bull BC One Battle-X about?
Every Red Bull BC One Battle-X involves exhibition battles without judges and no official winners or losers. The idea is about taking out the organised, competition structure and allowing any format of battle to take place. The exhibitions can be anything from a 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, a Bonnie and Clyde (1 B-Boy and 1 B-Girl), an all-out crew battle war or even a battle to settle dance-driven beef between breakers or crews.
The breakers invited to showcase their skills at Red Bull BC One Battle-X are picked from the best B-Boys and B-Girls the hosting city or country has to offer, but also breakers from abroad can be invited as rival battle opponents.
Red Bull BC One Battle-X is a tribute to the days when breaking was underground – when there wasn’t always a big crowd coming to watch every battle. When call outs went down in spots and locations that only the true breaking, hip-hop heads knew about because they were part of the scene and culture. It’s a concept that reflects the part of breaking where on any given night, at any given jam or practise session, a battle could happen. And in those days, if you weren’t there to witness it you would hear the stories of what happened and hope that someone had filmed it.
