Among the headliners this year for Red Bull Sound Select: 30 Days in LA are rapper Pusha T, who might be releasing his "King Push" album by the end of 2016; HAIM, who also may be releasing a new album this year, namely the anticipated sequel to 2013's "Days Are Gone"; and YG, whose "Still Brazy" album is one of 2016's finest rap releases.
30 Days in LA, the monthlong music series now in its third year, will happen at venues across Los Angeles in November. It includes events and concerts with more than 60 of today’s biggest and rising stars.
Other 30 Days in LA 2016 headliners are pop singer Jhené Aiko, Brooklyn rock band Sunflower Bean, British artist Charli XCX, indie rock band Car Seat Headrest and Norwegian artist Aurora, among others.
Each show features opening performances by Sound Select artists such as brother-sister duo Tennyson; Pusha T-collaborator River Tiber, who just released an album called "Indigo"; Charlotte Day Wilson, who just released the "CDW" EP and is touring with Local Natives; New Orleans rapper Pell; and Grimes-signee Nicole Dollanganger.
In addition to these concerts, there are several other day and night parties, including a festival to celebrate the 20th anniversary of iconic record label Stones Throw, a Fancy Dress Ball hosted by AFROPUNK and an event curated by Chicago rap website Fake Shore Drive.
