In November 2022, Red Bull and Rick Ross made history in the cultural mecca of Atlanta with the U.S. debut of Red Bull Symphonic. It was a night of collaboration with hip-hop and classical music featuring Maestro Jason Ikeem Rodgers and acclaimed all-Black symphony, Orchestra Noir.
Backed by the acclaimed orchestra, the man behind Maybach Music Group took everyone down memory lane with a number of his hits including “Here I Am,” Hustlin,” “9 Piece,” “Bag of Money,” “Hustle Hard,” “B.M.F.,” “Aston Martin Music” and “Diced Pineapples.” He also performed some of his memorable features like DJ Khaled’s “All I Do is Win,” Meek Mill’s “Ima Boss,” Jay Z’s “FWMYKIGI” and Usher’s “New Flame.”
In this exclusive documentary— you’ll get to go behind the scenes and see the making of Red Bull Symphonic and how it all came together. Featuring never-before-seen rehearsal footage and exclusive interviews with Maestro Rodgers, members of Orchestra Noir, superstar violinist Mapy, Sainted Trap Choir and The Biggest Boss himself. The Making of Red Bull Symphonic with Rick Ross pulls back the curtain to reveal the inspirational story that brought the event to life.
“I’ve always dreamed of this kind of performance,” says Mapy. “I grew up listening to hip-hop and going to my violin classes. While I was studying music at the Conservatory, I attended so many symphony orchestra performances, but none of the musicians looked like me or shared my culture. Representation really matters, and I know Symphonic will inspire and motivate so many young musicians all around the world.”
The sold-out event was held at the prestigious Atlanta Symphony Hall and delivered a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of music, community and Black excellence.
