Cloudbreak kicks into gear for 2017

The pros show up in Fiji just in time for perfect, pumping swell.

In the last few years, like clockwork, Fiji has absolutely fired in the days leading up to competition for the men and women of the World Tour. This year was no different — the waves went bonkers. Just how good was it? Well, just have a look at the video above. Spoiler alert: The 1:30 mark is particularly dreamy.
Only a small handful of the pros had made the trek to the South Pacific when a perfect, pumping swell came pouring across the reef at Cloudbreak. Mick Fanning and Leo Fioravanti were in the first wave of early birds, quick to put on a show for the crowd in the lineup. Luckily for us, filmers Jacob Vanderwork and Pat Stacy were there too, teaming up to document all the action.

Fanning and Fioravanti weren't the only ones dominating the lineup — Aussie Daniel Vardy proved himself a Cloudbreak tube-hound of the highest regard, snagging some of the best waves of the day. Just have a look at the proof above, and then get ready for plenty more action from Fiji in the days and weeks to come.
