Puerto Escondido is a big-wave playground
The Mexican beachbreak goes big for some of the world's bravest surfers.
Each and every summer, Puerto Escondido — one of the world's favorite and most feared big waves — goes off. This season, however, it's been a blur of proper, pumping swell and perfect conditions.
No one is more equipped to document all the action than Edwin Morales, longtime Puerto Escondido local, photographer and filmer. Edwin's seen it all out there, and what you have above is only the beginning of what's to come from surfing's most feared beach break.
So, take a look at Coco Nogales, Greg Long, Oscar Moncada, Pedro "Scooby" Vianna and a pack of other madmen as they get their feet wet on some of the first bombs of the season. Then tune back soon, because we've got a long, hot summer of pumping Puerto content to come.
