Ride Trip are a skydiving crew who like to have fun and experiment with unusual combinations in the air. But mixing slacklining and skydiving is definitely one of the most surprising and challenging associations they've ever tried.
"We needed five jumps just to complete our first trick," explains Nicolas Margaron, mastermind behind this crazy idea of slacklining in mid-air. "We first managed to do a 'chest roll' (the second trick you can see in the video above). In total, we had to jump more than 20 times to create this clip."
We had to adapt our equipment to keep the right weight difference between the skydivers.

What you would consider as simply a wild idea is in fact way more complex than it looks. "To make it possible, we had to adapt the weight of each skydiver," explains Margaron. "The performer and the two guys who held the slackline had different positions in the air so we didn't fall at the same speed. The performer had to be only 55kg while the others were 75kg. We had to adapt our equipment as well to keep the right weight difference."

Some tricks were better executed than others. "The most difficult trick is definitely the 'chest-backflip' (the first trick in the video), reckon Nicolas Margaron. The performer is falling way faster than for the others."
