RBLZ Gaming stands for innovation, talent development and success. Since RB Leipzig launched its newly formed eSports team as the "Next Big Thing" in 2020, the RBLZ (pronounced 'Rebels') have been shaking up the EA Sports FC scene. From the very beginning, the young team, featuring players like Umut 'RBLZ_Umut' Gültekin, Levy Finn 'RBLZ_Levyfinn' Rieck and Brazilian Guilherme 'GuiBarros' Barros, has been taking off virtually – and embarking on an unparalleled title hunt.
RBLZ Gaming isn't just sweeping up one championship title after another nationally, the RBLZ have also won the individual and club world championships several times – most recently in 2024 when Anders Vejrgang, now playing for Team Falcons, became the individual world champion for the first time. In addition, RBLZ Gaming won the individual and club championship double in Germany in 2025.
But it's not just their outstanding success that sets RBLZ apart. RB Leipzig's unique philosophy of developing talent is also highly valued. RBLZ Gaming not only has world-class players like RBLZ Umut and FC 26 newcomer Donovan 'RBLZ_Tekkz' Hunt under contract, but also supports promising young players to help them fully develop their talents. Some of the world's best talents regularly play in the RBLZ YoungStars youth team.
With RBLZ Gaming, the Red Bulls are merging the virtual and real worlds of football. The 2023 eSports Team of the Year's trophy collection is already unparalleled, and yet, RBLZ's journey in the booming world of eSports has only just begun.
