Day 3

The legendary Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii, United States, is the scene for this year's surf action.

There isn't another contest on earth like the Volcom Pipe Pro. It's an event that, despite being held at the world's most iconic wave, is more accessible to the locals who surf it everyday thanks to its QS3000 rating. Year in, year out the field is an intoxicating mix of world champions and legends, while battle hardened North Shore warriors try to fight off the charge of the next generation, who are desperate to start their qualifying series campaigns in style.
Once again Red Bull has partnered with Volcom to bring you the broadcast, and you can catch all of the action live in the player above.
Can defending champion Josh Moniz keep the famed spartan helmet trophy on Hawaiian soil, or will a new champion add their name to one of surfing's most illustrious honour rolls, which features Kelly Slater, John John Florence and Jamie O'Brien? Can a young Aussie follow in Soli Bailey's footsteps, and kickstart their career with a win at the Banzai, before qualifying for the tour a year later? Or will someone write a new story altogether over the deadly lava reef of the Banzai Pipeline?
Hit play in the player above and stay tuned as the competition builds to its inevitable crazy climax.
