Aaron Plessinger is now a well-established fan favourite at Supercross venues across the United States. His trademark cowboy hat make him one of the most easy to recognise riders during any AMA Supercross Championship weekend.
Aaron kickstarted his professional riding career with the Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha team in 2015. The rider from Hamilton, Ohio bagged an impressive podium finish in Anaheim during his AMA Supercross Championship debut season. Things got even better for Aaron in the 2015 AMA National Motocross Championship when he took his first-ever overall win in the professional ranks at that season’s final stop. A move from West to East saw Aaron finish the 2017 AMA Supercross Championship as runner-up in the 250SX East division.
2018 turned out to be the most memorable year of Aaron’s career so far with a pair of championship victories to celebrate. First he took the 250SX West title, thanks in no small part to a total of four victories claimed along the way. In the summer the Ohioan was crowned the 250 class champion of the 2018 AMA National Motocross Championship after claiming six wins during the season.
Aaron was promoted to the 450 class in 2019 and when injury-free he’s shown he has the speed to hang with the very best. Since 2022 he has been part of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and enjoyed his best 450 motocross season to date with third place in the final standings of the 2023 AMA National Motocross Championship.
For 2024, Aaron is back in orange for his third-straight year onboard the KTM 450 SX-F, continuing in the AMA Supercross Championship and Pro Motocross Championship as well as the three-race SMX Finals series.
