Born and raised in Talca, in the south of Chile, by 10 years old Benjamín Herrera was training and competing to become one of the best motocross riders in the country. And by 2010, at the age of 15, he was already a champion in the E1 Class and had taken a decisive victory at the Youth Cup GP in Romania – a first of many podiums to come.

With his raw talent and success, he's been compared to national enduro hero Francisco 'Chaleco' López, a likeness that Benjamín admits is an honour. In 2011, he achieved a significant third-place finish after another Enduro stalwart, Cyril Despres, at the Red Bull Los Andes Colombia race.
