Martín Landaluce has tennis in his veins. He started practising aged just one and grew up at the courts watching his parents and siblings playing. Training hard and competing from the age of nine, he quickly grew a reputation in Spain as a young player with great tennis potential.

A junior Grand Slam champion

In the following years, Martín continued to compete at both home and abroad, going on to achieve the greatest success of his young career to date – winning the extremely prestigious US Open Junior title in 2022.
This victory emphatically confirmed the Madrid native as one of the most promising and impressive tennis talents currently coming to age on the ATP tour. He even took on established top-10 ranked players already after competing against Andrey Rublev at the innovative Red Bull BassLine event on home soil in Madrid in 2023.

Progressing to the ATP Tour

In 2024, Martín won his first ATP Challenger title at the Olbia Challenger in Italy. His defeat of Mattia Bellucci in the final made him the youngest Spanish Challenger champion since Carlos Alcaraz in 2021, and launching him into the world's top 200. Granted a wildcard into the Miami Open, he defeated fellow Spaniard Jaume Munar in the first round – this victory meant he was the first tennis player born in 2006 or later to win a match at an ATP Masters 1000 event.
The 2025 season saw Martín achieve several goals: his Grand Slam debut, a maiden ATP Challenger 125 title (winning the CO'Met Orléans Open in France, defeating top seed Raphaël Collignon), and official qualification for the Next Gen ATP Finals (finishing the year in the top five).
In 2026 he became the first player born in 2006 or later to reach a Masters 1000 quarter-final – at the Miami Open. He then followed his Miami Open success with a second ATP Masters 1000 quarter-final in Rome, before reaching the third round at Roland Garros for his best Grand Slam result to date, earning his first two Grand Slam main-draw wins.
