Queralt Castellet made her debut appearance back in 2005 at the FIS World Championships in Chile and, within a year, was competing at the Winter Olympics in Italy.
From there, Castellet grew rapidly as a rider. She’s stood on top of the podium at the FIS World Championships numerous times, won the women’s halfpipe at the Winter Dew Tour two years running (2010 and 2011) and took first place at the Burton Canadian Open Championships in 2012.
She placed third at the Ladies Halfpipe World Cup in 2013, took silver at the Burton US Open in Colorado the following year and followed that in 2015 with silver in the halfpipe at the World Championships.
Often mentioned as one of snowboarding legend Kelly Clark's greatest rivals, Castellet has secured a string of podiums over the past decade, as well as several high-profile halfpipe victories.
In 2018 she claimed first place in Aspen at the FIS Snowboard World Cup, then in 2020 landed gold at the Laax Open and emerged victorious at the 2021 Revolution Tour. The following year saw her score another Laax Open podium with a third place, before claiming silver at the Snowboard Halfpipe event in Beijing, China and a Big Air World Cup win on Copper Mountain.
Castellet may have already made her mark, but with her growing collection of top results, media exposure and charismatic personality, she’s ensured she won’t be forgotten quickly in snowboarding circles.
