Still in his early twenties, Victor Hoffer has already become one of the hottest names in competitive fitness. The Frenchman is a three-time national CrossFit champion and has made waves internationally with a string of standout performances. But before the podiums and big stages, it all began in the gymnastics gym – a place that shaped both his strength and mindset.
“I started with gymnastics at the age of three,” Victor recalls. “At 15, I decided to end my gymnastics career. I was living far from home at a training centre and wanted to move back to my family. My parents were already doing CrossFit, and my mum told me, ‘Come with me to the box, try it, you’ll probably like it.’”

A rapid transition

CrossFit began as a way to stay active until he found a new sport - but that new sport never came. Instead, the coaches quickly recognised his potential. With his elite gymnastics foundation, Victor’s transition was rapid. “If I’m here, it’s because of my gymnast past - not just the physical side, but the mindset. Gymnastics builds strength, discipline, and confidence.”
His rise was meteoric. “Last year, I qualified for the CrossFit Games for the first time, but then I had a bad heel injury, and honestly, I gave up a little. I didn’t know if I’d compete again. I felt lost - I was still so young and had already achieved my goal of qualifying for the Games. I didn’t know what was next.”

A groundbreaking new project

After a period of doubt, Victor rediscovered his motivation and set new ambitions. Now splitting his time between Copenhagen and his hometown in France, his current focus is the World Fitness Project, a groundbreaking series reshaping competitive fitness. “When I heard all the top men were signing up, I thought, ‘If they’re in, I need to be in too.’”
Following a strong first season in the 2025 WFP, he is now looking to the future: “In five to 10 years, I want to be stronger, faster and part of the top athletes in the world. That’s what I train for every day.”
