Red Bull Half Court once again went in search of the world's best streetballers as it bounced across 14 countries, and South Africa's leg delivered. Teams battled it out 3on3, with the unique "Own the Court" bonus giving even those without the best win-loss record a shot at advancing on cumulative points.
South Africa's National Final in Soweto also welcomed a special guest, world renowned shooting coach Chris Matthews, better known as Lethal Shooter, who was on site to meet fans.
After a full day of streetball at Klipspruit Sports Centre, The Takeover claimed the women's title and MBB Blue Soldiers defended their crown for a second consecutive year to take the men's title. Both teams now head to the Red Bull Half Court World Final in Manila, Philippines, on 5 December 2026, to represent South Africa on the global stage.
