The making of the Red Bull F1 snow run
See how Red Bull Racing put an F1 car on a ski resort in Kitzbühel, Austria.
Anyone who watches Formula One regularly will know that F1 cars aren't designed to drive on anything other than tarmac covered race tracks. However, that didn't stop Red Bull Racing taking their title-winning RB7 to the Hahnenkamm ski resort in Kitzbühel, Austria for one of their more unusual F1 show car runs.
It wasn't just the tyres that the Red Bull Racing showcar team had to adjust ahead of the run though, with F1 cars accustomed to much warmer temperatures, the team had to re-tune the engine and make multiple set-up changes in order for Max Verstappen to be able to drive the RB7 on the snow.

"It was a real challenge," explained the young driver after his first F1 experience on snow. "We had to put my tyres in chains, it was very special. It was great fun and the enthusiasm of fans in Kitzbühel was great."
Inspired to see an F1 car with your own eyes and feel the thrill. Red Bull Racing is going to put a car on the streets of Cape Town on 2 June:
