When Torey Pudwill was named Best Street Skater at the 2011 TransWorld Skateboarding Awards, he was barely 21-years-old, yet he'd been crushing it on screen and on the streets for years.
T-Puds is renowned for game-changing street skills and pioneering spirit: his Big Bang part heralded the current era of the straight-to-internet video parts in 2011, which he followed up with a major part in Plan B's 2014 full-length TRUE.
Returning stronger from injury
Over the years, he's earned spots on a variety of podiums, including wins at Matix Lord of the Lines, the Copenhagen Pro, the Tampa Pro and Maloof Money Cup. Torey battled nagging injuries – first an ankle injury and then a severely broken finger – which kept him out of contests and forced him to turn down his first two X Games invites. But, in 2013, fully recovered and stronger than ever, he competed in his first X Games, Street League's X Games debut in Brazil, and scored a bronze medal.
2017 saw Torey's superb Flatbar Fenzy section wow the skateboarding world once again and 2019 saw him travel to Norway to help create and donate a skate spot cut straight from quarry walls in one of the biggest worldwide online skate features of the following year: the epic Larvikite Lines.
Athlete and entrepreneur
He has also proven time and again to be a fan favourite at many Drop In Tours. The SoCal stalwart was also seen braving the frigid Minnesota winter to skate a park constructed on frozen lake in the unique Project Carousel video part alongside TJ Rogers and Ryan Decenzo. Torey is also an entrepreneur: he founded his own company, Grizzly Griptape, at the age of 12 and co-owns Thank You Skate Co.

A positive mindset and kind nature have made Torey as respected for his attitude as he is for his talent. "I work hard and skate every day, because it’s something that I do for fun and for the love," he says. "I'm just trying to get kids to be as stoked for skateboarding as I was."
While not the dominant force he once was, Torey is still a highly respected and active skater, competing in major tournaments and exciting new projects like the 2026 KASSO Fest Skate & Sound in Long Beach.
