"I have always liked bikes. Dad had a bike and did some club style racing but it was when our good family friends raced in British Superbikes that got me really wanting to race. I started on motocross but always wanted to race on the road."
"My parents and sister have always supported me to do what I love. The countless long car drives across Australia to racing or training days where my parents were up late driving or working on bikes. And my sister is always cheering me on. Mum moved to Spain with me in 2020, while my dad and sister have had to stay in Australia. Mum now drives me to all the race events and training I do and helps me with the bikes. Dad helps me from Australia in so many ways."
"My father is a Finance Broker and my mother a Business manager. I have a sister, Ashley, who is three years older and studying nursing at University. She started riding for fun when we were both little but she grew out of it and continued with other things."
"My heroes are Mick Doohan and Marc Marquez and I want to race as long as I can in my career and be a multiple MotoGP World Champion. Also to repay all the hard work and sacrifice my family is making."
"At school I enjoy Mathematics, Auto Mechanics and I love anything with 2 wheels like mountain biking and cycling, surfing, hanging with my mates."
"I learnt a lot in 2021 but mainly racecraft and to be more focused in racing and also training. Another is to keep a clear free mind and not to get held up on non important issues."
"For my first season in the Rookies Cup I want to finish each race in the top 10 and finish the overall championship in the top 10. My other goal is to consistently find and work on things I need to improve on in all my training and in each lap I race."
"My best race to date was Estoril 2021, the FIM CEV European Talent Cup, the first race of the year and it was on Anzac Day which is a very special day for Australians so this was even better. It was a difficult start to the race being pushed back quite a lot of positions. But I was calm and slowly picking each ride off one by one until I was right at the front. It is also quite special because I am the first Australian to win a European Talent Cup race."
"Also The last round of 2021 in Valencia where I got two podiums - a second and a third. I was the only one to get double podiums. In the race where I finished second, I was continuously up the front and battling for the lead. To finish the season really well after a difficult middle of the year was good to have my confidence back up."
"The types of tracks I like are the all rounded tracks, fast sections, slow sections, big wide corners and also small tight ones. But the best corner I get the most satisfaction from are fast sweeping corners where you have to be extremely brave to take them fast."
"Obviously winning gives me the most satisfaction and I go out every time and try to do this. But seeing that hard work pays off with situations makes me happy. I like to see that I am consistently improving in areas I have issues with and get a lot of satisfaction when the team and I try different things and it results in becoming a better rider and a better result."
