Nasser Al-Attiyah continued his winning streak in 2019 with victory at the 42nd Rally of Lebanon.
- With the win Al-Attiyah ensured he has won all eight races he has entered in 2019.
- The Qatari, 48, was driving a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 with Mathieu Baumel as his co-driver.
- The Rally of Lebanon is a 10-stage tarmac race held over three days and is the third round of the Middle East Rally Championship.
- Al-Attiyah, who won his third Dakar Rally in January, had finished runner-up three times at the rally before his win this weekend.
- He said: “We are so happy to win Rally of Lebanon, keeping the lead in all stages across two days. We are still going strong this year winning eight out of eight rallies to date. We have been working really hard for every race and every win and we are happy with this achievement. Watch out as we will be coming back next year for another win!”
- Baumel added: “We are still looking forward to more wins this year. We have Cyprus Rally coming up next, followed by Rally of Morocco where we will fight Peterhansel for the win!”
