Helmets must be worn by all participants and will be provided.

What we’re looking for is the outrageous, the preposterous and the ostentatious! A chariot should be an extension of its team. It’s wild. It’s crazy. It can be anything they want. It just can’t be ordinary.

Chariot handlebars must be positioned at the front of the Chariot so that the Chariot is steered at the front. Steering the Chariot from the back is prohibited.

**Note: Handlebars to pull chariots should be included in width, and height dimensions of craft

Chariots must be powered by your team's legs only. So no external energy sources are allowed. But that doesn’t mean you won’t go fast.

This event is, first and foremost, a race. Therefore, the fastest chariot across the finish line is going to be looked upon favorably. Take note though, getting across the finish line will require a fast craft AND fast minds as teams encounter challenges along the way, select your team wisely.

Teams are judged on three criteria: Design, pre-race performance and showmanship. So racers need to wow us with all 3 criteria.

The Red Bull Chariot Race team is made up of four people with three actively on the course at all times. Half way through the race, you will swap out one of your team members to join the race. You are encouraged to extend your crew by inviting your friends and family out to cheer you on!

Teams will receive a stipend $200 gift card and will have the option for build coaching to support the creation of their craft.
