Andrea Principi put together the performance of a lifetime in Cape Town to win the most extreme big air kiteboarding contest in the world.

This 18-rider lineup promised an electrifying mix of former champions, renowned big air competitors, and promising newcomers all vying for the throne. Our new Red Bull King of the Air combined height, power, extremity, technique and innovation to take home the win. Kite Beach is renowned as the kitesurfing mecca of Cape Town, offering fans a fantastic vantage point to witness the excitement of the event.

Italian teenager Andrea Principi overcame fellow countryman Lorenzo Casati and Spaniard Jeremy Burlando to win Red Bull King of the Air. With the performance Principi, a two-time Big Air World Champion who also won Red Bull Megaloop in the Netherlands earlier this year – solidified his status as the current leader of the pack in the big air kiteboarding discipline. He scored three 9s in the final - a first-ever in Red Bull King of the Air.

The Mystic Move Of The Day went to the defending champion and eventual second-place finisher, Lorenzo Casati, who performed a Double Kite Loop, Double-Board Off.
