It was Connor Fields (USA) who took top honours in the final round of racing with Renato Rezende (BRA) and Vincent Pelluard (FRA) coming in second and third.
The final saw an early crash involving Twan van Gendt (NED), Joris Daudet (FRA) and Carlos Alberto Ramirez Yepez (COL) leaving Fields, Rezende and Pelluard to battle it out for the R.Evolution title. Fields crossed the finish line 0.633 seconds ahead of Rezende.
Dutchman Desmond Tessemaker was crowned the 55DSL Rebel of the Day. This was an audience award for the most rebellious rider of the event. Tessemaker’s dramatic backflip during a qualifying round brought loud cheers from the Berlin crowd.
