The world’s top-ranked pair are no stranger to doubts and pressure. Unable to beat unseeded José Antonio Diestro – Juanlu Esbrí in the quarter-finals of the Asunción P2 just a week ago, many were wondering if Coello and Tapia were going through a slump. Well, it didn’t take long for them to prove doubters wrong.
In the final against Navarro – Bergamini, Tapia and Coello showed they were ready to get back to the top. Bergamini and Navarro were contesting their first final as a pair, coming off a win against second-seeded Alejandro Galán – Fede Chingotto, with Galán retiring due to illness.
Tapia and Coello came out of the gate firing on all cylinders. Before their rivals could settle into the match, they had already broken their serve and jumped out to a commanding lead after the first set (6-2).
The top seeds continued to apply relentless pressure on Navarro and Bergamini, defending the positions close to the net and doing what they do best: overwhelming their opponents with their court coverage and firepower. Despite Navarro and Bergamini’s reaction to the top seeds’ 3-0 early lead (they managed to make it 2-3), 'King' Coello and 'Mozart' Tapia used their experience and pace to win the decisive points and rise with the victory (6-2, 6-2).
Coello and Tapia have now won four events this season and overtake second seeds Alejandro Galán – Federico Chingotto (who've won three) in the race for most titles won this season.

It's been a rocky season so far for Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría. The top-seeded pair have seen second-seeded Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea posing a serious threat to their throne, with four trophies won so far this season compared to Ari and Paulita’s two prior to this tournament.
The match-up against third seeds Bea González and Claudia Fernández was the first encounter between these two pairs in a final this year. Both teams qualified for the Riyadh P1 final at the start of the season, but González – Fernández withdrew before the match due to injury.
From the very start of the match, Sánchez and Josemaría left no room for doubt, taking advantage of the slow court conditions to wear their opponents down and thrive in long rallies by staying remarkably reliable and consistent.
The top seeds controlled the tempo of the game and astutely countered every alternative that the explosive González and the tactical Fernández tried to introduce. Sánchez and Josemaría built on the momentum earned after the first set to defeat their opponents (6-2, 6-2).
With this win, Sánchez and Josemaría are a step closer to tying their primary challengers, Triay and Brea, for most tournaments won this season (three to four).

During the semi-final match between seventh-seeded Lucas Bergamini – Paquito Navarro and second-seeded Alejandro Galán – Federico Chingotto, Bergamini ended an absolute rollercoaster of a rally in spectacular fashion with this surgical drop shot.
In that same match, Ale Galán and Paquito Navarro showcased their incredible instincts and skill as they traded ridiculous behind-the-back and between-the-legs shots, respectively, before Chingotto ended up missing a backhand volley.
In the women’s semi-final between third-seeded Bea González – Claudia Fernández and second-seeded Gemma Triay – Delfina Brea, Fernández defied the odds by hitting a perfect drop shot that left her rivals unable to react at the back of the court.
In the other semis match between top-seeded Ariana Sánchez – Paula Josemaría and surprise unseeded semi-finalists Martina Calvo – Aranzazu Osoro, 16-year-old Calvo showed her talent with this precise winning shot to the fence. Calvo made history by becoming the second youngest-ever semi-finalist in Premier Padel history.
