Born and raised alongside the Black Sea in the small city of Rize, Barış Alper Yılmaz has risen from the third division of Turkish football become a key player for both Süper Lig giants Galatasaray and the Türkiye national team.
Like many great footballing tales, it was on the pitch at his local youth club, Rize İl Özel İdarespor, where Barış developed the skills that have taken him to the highest levels of Turkish football today. After playing there from 2012–2017 as a powerful and strong winger, Barış got his break into the pro ranks when he was signed by third-tier Ankara Demirspor, where he played for three season before being transferred to Ankara Keçiörengücü, establishing himself in the team that got promoted to League 1.
