It's time to get inverted.

Tilting your heads backward and letting your body follow has always been the easiest and most prominent way to show off your skills. Do you already know how to pull one off? Great. If not, we recommend you read this guide thoroughly.

Step 1: Safe preparations

A pool, a foam pit or even a big pile of powder in the landing will suffice. Whatever you can do to both be and feel safe is always the best way to mentally prepare yourself to try something new. Dome Adrenalin Zone in Gävle is an ideal place to start.

Step 2: Learn the correct basics.

The key to the backflip is a good setup. Remember to keep your chest up and most of all, remember to pop.
Why popping is important? Well....
When learning the rotation, your arms are your best friends. Set up the trick by placing your arms behind your back parallel with your shoulders. Visualize the timing of when and where on the kicker you'll want the rotation to start, then slingshot your arms forward and upwards towards your chest. Remember to pop and to be courageous enough to tilt your head back when the time comes to flip it. Don't start tilting your head to soon though. Your best bet of learning a perfectly controlled backflip is by daring to look at your feet long enough to feel when it's time to flip the rotation over.
Here's a really good guide about the basics for all of you who prefers video-guides.

Step 3: Point - Send - Repeat

Repetition is the key to success, and our best advice is to do as many backflips as you can in step 1, then proceed into skiing and start repeating it on a suitable jump.
And by suitable jump, we mean a 1-2 meters one, not like the sizes of Jesper Tjäder when he does his thing..

Step 4: Style it out.

If you want to start backflipping like Jesper Tjäder, then you'll have to tweak out your body. This is easy but can seem scary in the beginning. This is not the recommended way of learning the backflip, but when you know how to do it properly, you might as well add a bit of flavor into it.

Step 5: Throw in 2 extra, then go pro. Just like this guy!

Because why not.
After sharing it, send it to us on Red bull and we'd be happy to share it further. Either on our Facebook, or our Instagram!
