The phrase “Go big or go home” must be taken very literally on the on the Freeride World Tour. If you don’t send it, you get eliminated quickly. So, when the time came for the final stop of the year, Verbier Xtreme, there was absolutely no room for holding back. Take a look at Reine Barkered's (SWE) winning run. That last cliff was sent AF.
The three-way tie for the world title was broken by Léo Slemett’s (FRA) spectacular run which began with a committing 360 in the exposed upper part of the venue and was followed by a series of high amplitude airs, earning him the world title ahead of the swede Kristoffer Turdell who probably sent this years biggest air during the final. Yet it was Reine Barkered (SWE) who hammered a stunningly fast line through most of the biggest features of the face with his renowned control and veteran mastery that took home the top performance in ski men.
