Multiple award-winning pop artist Victor Leksell needs no introduction. The artist had his big breakthrough back in 2018 with his hit song “Tappat”, and two years later his song “Svag” broke all the records, becoming the most streamed song ever in Swedish. Today, it has over 217 million streams. Awarded with Grammies such as Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, it’s clear that Victor Leksell’s music reaches beyond age groups and city lines.
Breaking new ground in his musical journey he now joins forces with Stockholm Concert Orchestra, a 58-piece symphonic orchestra, and some of Sweden’s biggest musical talents in order to rework his repertoire into a full Red Bull Symphonic experience.
“I’ve always dreamed about singing together with a symphonic orchestra. This time my ambient and emotional pop gets to meet classical music in Red Bull Symphonic,” says Victor Leksell.

Red Bull Symphonic comes to Sweden

It’s the first time Red Bull Symphonic comes to Sweden, a renowned concept that has gone down a storm in other parts of the world, like the USA and South Africa. Red Bull Symphonic brings together a modern-day artist with a classical composer, a conductor, and a full symphonic orchestra to create a brand-new experience for the artist and audience alike.
Victor Leksell is looking forward to having his songs reimagined: “I always like experimenting with my songs to elevate concert experiences, but I’ve never had these kind of tools at hand before.”
Having the backing of a full symphonic orchestra will, according to Victor Leksell, elevate his songs to a whole new dimension: “The audience will get to see me in a different world compared to the one I’m normally in when performing live music. I think my songs can be developed into something beautiful and be able to push buttons you can’t access on a computer,” says the artist.

A collab with some of the biggest names in classical music

The core of Red Bull Symphonic is to break down barriers between modern and classical music, letting the two worlds collide on equal terms. During Red Bull Symphonic, Victor Leksell will work with some of the biggest names on the classical scene.
Star composer Jacob Mühlrad will, together with music arranger and orchestrator Petter Ekman, rearrange Victor Leksell’s pop songs into classical pieces. Conducting the concert will be Karl-Johan Ankarblom. Behind the scenes, it’s tonmeister Arne Bock who will be in charge of sound, and creative director Alexander Wessely who will make it all come together in a unique, once-in-a-lifetime concert.
