A member of the inaugural 2009 season, his journey into the sport began with a challenge: unable to swim, the former gymnast earned his place on a diving team by performing a double full twist from a 1-metre springboard – only to be pulled from the pool by his coach moments later. That leap of faith changed his life, eventually taking him from the diving pool to cliff diving venues around the world.
Now, after a six-year absence, the Brazilian returns as a wildcard in Mostar for the 14th World Series event of his career.
