Speedrunning is not for the faint-hearted!
That is our conclusion after experiencing the crowd’s nervousness and amazed ”ooh’s” when the speedrunning expert Fuzzyness demonstrated a speedrun of the Nintendo classic Super Mario 64 during EWKND.
There is no room for mistakes when each second is crucial! Although this demonstration was just for fun, the skill and experience showed by Fuzzyness was truly amazing and captivating to watch.
Together with his speedrunning colleague, IrregularJinny, they showcased the wonderful and crazy community of speedrunning. One aspect of it that IrregularJinny wanted to highlight as his favorite, is the fact that the community has been able to raise millions of dollars for various charities, through speedrunning marathons.
In the end we are just gamers having fun, but, it’s awesome to be able to give something back and contribute, says IrregularJinny.
