After conquering both the 2024 and 2025 seasons with 14 and 13 Premier Padel tournament victories, respectively, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello continue to look untouchable at the very top of the sport. Their streak of 47 straight victories remains the longest that padel has ever seen, a symbol of their consistency across all surfaces and conditions. As the new season begins, the challenge is clear: keep evolving, keep winning and protect their position as the world's number one padel partnership.

Their five wins in 2024 laid the foundations, but 2025 marked a real step forward, as they captured seven tournament victories and consistently challenged the top seeds. With Alejandro Galán dictating play and Federico Chingotto covering every corner of the court, their chemistry and adaptability remain their greatest weapons heading into 2026.

Franco Stupaczuk, one of the most agile and electric players in the world, is reuniting with right-side player Mike Yanguas for the 2026 season – and they already know what works between them. Back in 2024, they won the Newgiza P2 and then backed it up with deep runs late in the year, including big semi-final wins over Chingotto and Galán on the way to finals at the Kuwait City P1 and at the Mexico Major. Stupaczuk’s speed and finishing instincts, paired with Yanguas's heavy and controlled pressure, will present a tremendous challenge for any pair that faces them.

Few new teams feel as explosive as the one formed by the extremely talented Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger – arguably the best smasher in the world. Lebrón's transition abilities and Augsburger's unmatched power on aerial shots create an explosive and unpredictable combination ready to battle for the first spots on the ranking. They'll be especially dangerous on faster courts, as both players can easily finish points by bringing the ball back with powerful smashes from their own side of the court.

Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz team up once again. When they were partners, they produced one of the shocks of the year by beating Tapia and Coello in the 2024 Premier Padel Finals in Barcelona, ending the duo's record run of 47 consecutive wins. That result wasn't a fluke either: Nieto's consistency and control set the platform while Sanz's lefty angles and energy gave them the edge in the chaotic moments. Heading into 2026, the big question is simple: can they bring that Finals level to the court more often? If they do, the draw will open up in a hurry.

The best of the rest

Outside the top five seeds, the team shuffling hasn’t slowed down and the next tier looks loaded. The sixth-seeded pairing is Paquito Navarro with Fran Guerrero, a combo blending Navarro's experience and charisma with Guerrero's solid, consistent style, it could catch fire quickly.
Seventh-seeded are Momo González and Martín Di Nenno, a pairing that screams consistency, defence and long, suffocating matches. At the eighth seed, Javi Garrido links up with Lucas Bergamini in a return to a partnership that gives them both a clear identity, with Garrido as the decisive force and Bergamini the tactical master.
Juan Tello and Edu Alonso, a duo with plenty of pace and upside if they find rhythm early, will start the season as the ninth seeds, while the 10th spot belongs to Javi Leal and Pablo Cardona, two heavy hitters who will have to wait until after the season-opening Riyadh P1 to start their partnership. Cardona is still injured and with Coki Nieto also sidelined, Leal and Jon Sanz will join forces for one time in Saudi Arabia.

Women's pairs

The women's draw looks wide open after a major reshuffle amongst the top-seeded teams, and several new teams have one clear target: knocking the top seeds Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea off their perch.

After scoring no less than nine tournament wins in 2025, Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea are once again the reference point for the women's field heading into 2026. Disciplined, adaptable and brutally efficient once they get control of the middle, both players boast outstanding physical and technical capabilities, with Triay's aerial game making the difference and Brea's composure breaking rivals down.

In 2026, Bea González partners with Paula Josemaría, the world's best left-handed player. 'Bea' and 'Paulita' lifted six titles each last season with their respective partners, Claudia Fernández and Ariana Sánchez, and this is a partnership built to hit hard from day one. Josemaría brings relentless tempo and unpredictability, while González will exploit her heavy ball, court coverage and ability to turn defence into attack in one swing. If they lock in their roles early, they should be in finals and winning titles quickly.

3. Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero

This pairing has a clear storyline: Ariana Sánchez's experience and match IQ guiding one of the most exciting young talents on the tour in Andrea Ustero. It's a high-profile bet on both present results and future dominance, and it could pay off quicker than people think. Ustero's ability to play bold, combined with Sánchez's leadership, can raise their ceiling quickly.

4. Sofía Araújo and Claudia Fernández

This team looks built for modern Premier Padel: Sofía Araújo brings power and physicality from the left side to hold advantageous positions at the net. Claudia Fernández, meanwhile, has proved herself as one of the most reliable right-sided players in the world, with plenty of poise and control to defend, and enough variety to avoid getting stuck in one rhythm. If they build confidence and chemistry, they'll live in the semis conversation.

5. Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen

Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen are a pair that could win a lot of matches simply by being hard to play against. Icardo gives them length and firepower from the left side, while left-handed Jensen thrives at catching her opponents off-guard with smart shots and sharp angles. They have plenty of upset potential.

The best of the rest

Outside the top five, there is plenty of quality and a few pairings that could jump up the rankings quickly. Sixth-seeded Marta Ortega and Martina Calvo mix Ortega's experience and tactical skills at the right side with 17-year-old Calvo's relentless energy.
Seventh seeds Alejandra Salazar and Alejandra Alonso will work when Salazar, arguably one of the best players in history, effectively guides Alonso's energy and willingness to attack. Marina Guinart and Verónica Virseda is a team built on solidity. Expect long rallies, smart court coverage and plenty of matches decided by patience. They're not always flashy, but they are very effective.
Then come two pairs with real upside: ninth-seeded Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga are a young team that always plays like they have nothing to lose, and have already shown they can disrupt higher seeds when they get rolling. Finally, 10th-ranked Aranzazu Osoro and Victoria Iglesias have already proven they can make deep runs when the bracket opens up, with a fiery competitive spirit that makes them dangerous for any pair to face.
With the 2026 Premier Padel season almost underway, established duos and new partnerships are ready to light it up. Expect elite-level padel all year as the sport's biggest names battle for the top spot on the global stage.
