The use of Red Bull Stimulant Drink during sportive activities varies depending on the type of sport, the situation and the athlete.
Red Bull Stimulant Drink is not a sports drink for rehydration. Although normal consumption of Red Bull Stimulant Drink also provides water to the body, it has not been formulated to deliver rehydration. People who engage in sports are therefore encouraged to also drink lots of water during high-intensity exercise.
Red Bull Stimulant Drink does not lead to dehydration (and nothing within Red Bull Stimulant Drink has a dehydrating effect). This was confirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in their scientific opinion of 2015.
The consumption of caffeine (up to 200 mg) does not raise safety concerns when consumed less than two hours prior to intense physical exercise. This was also confirmed by the EFSA in their scientific opinion of 2015.
